The world premiere of Balázs Kecskés D.'s Viola Concerto will be performed by Máté Szűcs at a concert of the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra and Rajna Martin on March 19.

One year ago, Péter Wolf's Jazz Preludes, a collection of 24 piano pieces, was included in our catalogue. Shortly before the release of the publication, a recording of the Jazz Preludes was made by József Balog, who will present on 9 February at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest the whole cycle, many of the pieces as first concert performance.

Máté Balogh's Alabama March was commissioned by the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra of Alabama and Gregory Vajda. More than three years after its premiere in the USA, on January 29, 2023 the Hungarian premiere will take place at the Budapest Music Academy with Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra and Martin Rajna.

Pierre-Laurent Aimard recently visited Kurtág in Budapest to prepare a recording project of Kurtág’s piano music under the composer’s supervision. On this occasion, he was interviewed about his long-term relationship with Kurtág and the current project.

Five chamber music works by Máté Bella have been published in recent months, which prove their author’s sensitivity to small forms and the diversity of his writing, which finds a free transition among different styles. 

On November 26, …circumdederunt… in memoriam Rita Wagner by Kurtág was premiered at the IMS Prussia Cove jubilee concert in Wigmore Hall.

Three new recordings of György Kurtág’s solo and chamber music have been recently released.
